"Our class was so great--we have come so far, trusting one another with our words and trusting the process. I loved it!"

Help with registration

Hi, I'm Pam, your registrar and course consultant

Welcome! If you (a) have selected your class, and (b) are ready to register and pay your tuition, then click to go here.

If you are (a) enrolling for the first time and/or (b) need academic guidance, then continue below.

If you are enrolling for Women writing, lives changing, then click here.

Registrar Registration is as easy as one, two, three:

One--Examine our available courses. Decide which one is best for you. Take note of if and when the online sessions will be held each week.

Two--Examine your schedule, your budget, and your computer readiness. Decide how to move forward.

Three--Register and pay tuition online using our automated system.

Spaces for our classes fill up quickly, so don't wait until the last minute! Click here for the key dates.

Participants enrolled in one of our previous sessions have first priority for spaces in upcoming classes, provided they register two weeks before the starting date.

When to register

Register well before the starting date so that you can be allocated a tutor, get any needed textbooks (if required), and do any preparatory work, in plenty of time.

Applications for financial support towards course fees will often need to be submitted prior to one week before the closing date. This is so we can assess your eligibility and let you know how much support you will receive before you register.

In the best of classrooms, everyone has something to teach and everyone has something to learn, including the professor. Catherine College provides a safe place wherein women can find their true voices and to express them freely. The bonding that takes place in the virtual classroom must accordingly be joined with a shared sense of respect and mystery in the face of co-learners struggling to become their authentic selves even when they have for so long been beaten down and forced to adapt roles that conceal their true voices.

Examine your schedule, your budget, and your computer readiness

Examine your schedule--My days are already so busy that nothing gets done unless I make designated "sacred times" and "sacred spaces" in my life. On Saturday mornings, therefore, I have put my family on notice that they are not to disturb me from 8 to 10 "unless the house is on fire." You may have to do something like this in your household or in your dorm.

“How might your life have been different if there had been a place for you? A place for you to go . . . a place of women to help you find and trust the ancient flow already there within yourself . . .waiting to be released. . . . How might your life be different?” --Circle of Stones by Judith Duerk

Examine your budget--I am always skimping on this or that when it comes to making important things happen. When it comes to my development as a woman, my father mistakingly made the decision to send his boys to college and his girls to work. So, if my future matters (and it does), I have to skimp to do now what he neglected in the past. Meanwhile, if you are living near the poverty line, please apply for tuition assistance. If you are living in luxury, please become a sponsor and help detemined women to fulfill their dreams.

I am reflecting and feeling empowered that there is a place for me and for my contributions in this world. This doesn't mean that I have to prove anything to anyone else with my contributions. It just means that I am valuable, and that I matter. I think in the past I have always subconsciously viewed my life and my contributions as things that I have to justify to others in order to prove that I am worthy. And to the other women in this class -- you are valuable and you matter, too. I treasure the sharing that you have done. -- a participant

Examine your computer--Whether you have internet access at home or you will be renting equiptment at an Internet Cafe, how do you know that your system is ready to make use of the sophisticated technology of Catherine College? Quite easily. Take out five minutes and perform Test #1 and Test #2. Then you'll be ready to start!

  • There is no upper age limit. • If you're studying full time at another institution, make sure your study with us does not interfere with your commitments to that institution.
  • If this is your first experience taking a course at Catherine College and you wish to take more than one course, please contact the Registrar (as indicated above) for special permission.
  • All our courses are taught in English, so your ability to read and write English must be of an appropriate standard for the kind of course you are enrolling for. If you speak English as an additional language or were educated in a language other than English, you may need to allow extra time for your studies, as there is a large amount of reading to do and regular assignments to submit. Before registration you may want to consider your fluency particularly in reading and writing. Once you start your course please let your tutor know if you have any difficulties in understanding or writing so that you can be advised about resources and strategies that can help.

Contact our Registrar or Dean of Studies for advice on any of these matters, using the same email address as provided above: .
